Thank you for your question. There are several things you can do to maximize your outcomes and minimize your risks. First, seek medical clearance from your family doctor. They can help you maximize your health status, making recovery easier and limiting complications. Second, use a healthy diet and exercise regimen to reach your goal weight. This weight should be one that you feel comfortable at, and can maintain, as this will ensure the best long-term results. Lastly, seek out a series of opinions from board certified plastic surgeons about the best surgical treatments for you to obtain your desired results.
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.For safety reasons, to be a good candidate for TT+Lipo+ BBL at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal. Therefore, you must be a healthy person, within an appropriate BMI and no history of diseases that increase the surgical / anesthetic risk degree. Finally, I recommend you a skilled certified plastic surgeon in body contouring surgery and experienced in cases like yours where the planned operating time is less than five hours.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

My responses:1) healthy diet and moderate excercise.2) no herbs, supplements, or additives (can alter your recovery, healing and anesthesia)3)no aspirin, mega-3, large doses of Vit. E or fish oil, or NASIDS two weeks prior to surgery (can alter your blood clotting)4)if you are taking hormonal birth control stop 2-4 weeks prior to susurgery (can increase risk of blood clots).5)stop smoking 4 weeks before and after wards (can interfere with wound healing).6)discuss taking bromeline and arnica (before and after your surgery) with your Plastic Surgeon (can reduce swelling and brusing)7)night before and in morning scrub your entire body with a anti septic soap (reduce risk of infection) 7)moderate alcohol consummation and none the night before.8)get some large bags of frozen peas or corn (the Cosco size) you can place in pillow case and then apply to areas of swelling (they will conform to your body like a bean bag and you can recycle in your freezer when they thaw out).9)make a list of questions or your specfic desires you may have the night before surgery.10) where confortable button down or zippered top/blouse and loose fitting pants (ease getting changed after surgery)11) your Plastic Surgeon can prescribe a Scopolamine patch to place behind your ear to prevent post op nausea.12)discuss having your anesthesiologist use Zofran, Regalin, and steroids during your anesthesia to reduce post op nausea. 13)post op narcotics can cause constipation. Start taking a bulking agent (Metamucil)stool softener (Colace) and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. 14) if you are over 45 or have a significant medical problem have your primarycare physician examine you and obtain preoperative laboratory evaluation.15)start over the counter Iron pills 1 month before and after surgery to help you increase your hemoglobin levels (be ware they may make your stools turn dark and constipapate you)16) nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to surgery.
