Because all plastic surgeons have different protocols, I recommend that you ask the plastic surgeon who performed your BBL. He or she will know how you have healed and can recommend the most appropriate time for you to return to spinning. My patients are allowed to return to vigorous exercise if all incisions have healed at six weeks. I recommend that they start small, and dial it up when they feel better. Be sure and add a warm up and a cool down to every workout. The last thing you want to do is to get injured by progressing too fast. Be patient as you may not see your final result until six months to a year.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
I'm not sure why you would not be able to do a spinning class after your have had at least 6 weeks of recovery. In my opinion, spin away!!
Very few things in life are risk-free.That said I don't know where you heard that spinning is dangerous or bad for you.At six weeks you're well healed from your procedure and exercise should not be an issue.Spinning is probably safer than cycling outdoors though personally I much prefer the latter.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Hello and thank you for your excellent question. You should be safe for spin class 6 weeks after a BBL. Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization and surgical simulation with the Crisalix system may help with your decision. Any treatment plan should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation in person with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck! It is likely that your clothes will fit differently. I would wait 4-6 months before making any serious wardrobe changes to allow for the swelling to subside.
There are three possibilities that can cause a hard mass or lump after a BBL. It could be a seroma, a hematoma, or fatty necrosis. If it is a seroma or hematoma it could be drained, these are collections of fluid or blood. If it is fatty necrosis it means that some of the fat that was injected ...
