Is it safe to be on doxycycline if your planning on getting plastic surgery like Rhinoplasty or a BBL?

Hello,It should be perfectly fine to continue your doxycycline while having surgery.  Antibiotics are normally prescribed during this time anyway. Inform your surgeon all of your medications prior to surgery.Best of luck!

There is no obvious reason to be off of the doxycycline. .Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and
listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You
should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.

  Every plastic surgery office has different policies about patients staying on medications throughout their procedures. It is  always best to check with your operative surgeon and anesthesiologist about continuing or stopping medications prior to elective cosmetic surgery

You will be even more protected from infection since you are on Doxy. Just keep taking it before, during, and after surgery.

Inform your surgeon and the anesthesia department of any medication you are taking.  I see no reason to get off your doxycycline prior to surgery.
