Was my revision rhinoplasty worth it or do I need another one? (Photos)

After revision rhinoplasty it takes even longer for all the swelling to resolve and healing be complete than the first operation—I would say at least 15-18 months.  So you have to wait to see the final refinement of the tip.  The asymmetry unfortunately is not totally predictable or controllable.  At the time of surgery the 5 cartilages that make up the lower part of your nose are can efully placed but cannot be rigidly fixed and during the healing process they can shift some.  Unfortunately during another revision it is impossible to be certain of a perfectly straight nose.  Sometimes a c shaped deformity can be improved with a small fat graft.

Swelling in the nasal tip after rhinoplasty can persist up to 1 year or more. Swelling takes even longer when you have already had trauma or previous rhinoplasty. I have been amazed at the constant change in nasal appearance that can occur even 3-5 years after surgery. But I can see your point about the subtle change or lack thereof. It can be frustrating. At this time you should not do anything but wait at least another six months before making an assessment. Your nose will most likely continue to shrink and refine. You (like all patients) will always have some slight asymmetries from side to side so don't focus on that.

Very difficult to assess your results based on a few photos; what you really need is an examination by a rhinoplasty specialist to determine if your nose is properly set and alligned.

Looking at these pictures I understand your frustration but I recommend you wait another 6-8 months before making any decisions about another revision rhinoplasty. Because revisions always take longer to heal  your nose will probably change over the next few months.
