Hi Doctors, I had bad rhinoplasty. My nose is now to small and nostrils too narrow. I know that there are techniques to argument the length of the nose. But can nostrils became wider again? There is not too much info about that. Thanks.

Answer: Widening nostrils after surgery Nostrils can be widened but the scarring afterwards usually looks worse than the original nose. Composite grafts usually need to be added. Sometimes, cartilage grafts can be added to the existing nostrils to make the nose appear wider. Visit with a facial specialist in your area and determine your options from there.

Answer: Nostrils too narrow after rhinoplasty. Nostrils too narrow after rhinoplasty. Unfortunately once the skin is removed from the alae it can’t be widened without a skin graft which will be noticeable.
