Is it because the bridge is too scooped out? I wrote BEFORE next to the pictures of my nose before surgery. Is it possible to make my nose look like it did before surgery. I feel like my nose is so flat now, especially when I smile
Answer: Why does my nose look so flat now? Your dorsum or nasal bridge was lowered too much which involves both bone and cartilage. The decreased projection makes your nose look wider and flatter. You will need cartilage grafts to restore. There are several techniques that can successfully restore your profile. I would suggest more than one consultation with an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgen.

Answer: Why does my nose looks so flat now? More information is needed such as the operative report, and when the surgery was performed. Based on the photographs today, there appears to be a shallow bridge line which may need to be built up with the patient's own cartilage. It is important to know how much cartilage is left over on the inside of the nose for potential grafting purposes. Osteotomies placed in the nasal bones can accomplish narrowing the bridgeline. The hanging columella could also be reduced as well as de-projection of the nasal tip.

Answer: Why Does My Nose Look Flat after Rhinoplasty You do have increased width and a scooped out profile above the tip because of loss of projection. This can be corrected with cartilage/fascia grafts to improve definition. Consult with an experienced revision specialist so you achieve a more feminine result that is proportional to your surrounding facial features.
