It’s been almost 4 weeks since my breast augmentation. I started having constant nausea and bitter taste in my mouth a week ago. It disappears when only when/after I eat or have something in my mouth. I wasn’t taking any narcotics after surgery at all and it doesn’t look like a good poisoning. I was completely healthy before the surgery. I referred to both my surgeon and my primary physician. I wonder if it could be related to having silicone in my body

Answer: Is the silicone making you sick? While medicine is always developing and we are learning new things each day, current studies and evidence show that there are no illnesses or disease associated with implants. There is a growing group of women that feel that their implants have somehow poisoned them, however, current evidence does not support this. I believe that your nausea is related to something else. I would make an appointment to see your PCP as well as your OBGYN in the event that pregnancy is a possibility. I wish you the best of luck!

Answer: Four weeks postop The nausea you are experiencing should not be caused by your implants and is very likely caused by something else. Follow up with your pcp so that they can investigate the source of your nausea.
