At 48 years of age, your skin quality and elasticity is likely to be excellent. A mini facelift would be an excellent choice to refine and straighten your jawline. Best wishes.
In person exam is essential. Photos- with all views are needed as well to evaluate accurately. Based on limited photo - it appears that you would benefit from facelift, neck lift with muscle tightening to achieve the best, long lasting result. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS
it appears that a lower face and neck lift would be a good procedure for you. Treatment of jowls consists of liposuction with a small cannula and excision of fat under direct vision. In-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon with a good face/neck lift reputation is recommended. Good luck.
Yes, a mini facelift would help get rid of jowls and improve the contour along your jawline. That being said, I would be curious to see your whole face and neck--many patients in their late 40s and beyond will benefit more from a full facelift that addresses the neck more completely and is even more effective at getting rid of your jowls, along with fat grafting to contour the cheeks and restore the volume you have lost with age!
A combination approach would give the most improvement. Deep wrinkles and smile lines can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy is a great skin tightening device, but works best in combination with other treatments like J Plasma, RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, salt facials, Cosmelan for skin tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I think you are a good candidate for a facelift. But I don’t like this idea of a mini facelift. That is essentially taking shortcuts that will result in a result that is not as good or long lasting
mini facelift gives you mini results. Full facelift give you the best results. If you are looking for a long lasting face and neck rejuvenation ....then a full facelift would be the way to go in my humble opinion. You can also consider Radiofrequency and microneedling device... (Morpheus or Genius ) that can help if you want to try a non invasive way to attack the jowls first...before committing to a surgery. Best to see a board certified plastic surgeon. A full set of facial photographs from all angles are required to make a determination about the proper surgical procedure for you based on your age. In our practice, the goal of a lower face and neck lift is to tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscles, lift the jowls, and remove fat deposits located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck, which also includes a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline.
Only 1 posted close up photo? Best to virtual consult with... I recommendation is a mini face/neck lift with SMAS plication. Fee from $8,000+.
With only one photo, you appear to have jowls, descent of the cheeks and issues in the neck. These require a true facelift for best results. Minis are rare anyway as they give a mini result that lasts a mini length of time.
I can see that you have had multiple non surgical procedures with minimal to no results. Some time these procedures give you an initial improvement because of the swelling, but the net effect of any radio-frequency procedure is loss of subcutaneous fat and volume that would make things worse in...

"I suggest reaching out to an expert for a formal consultation. I like to recommend my patients start a combination of facial rejuvenation treatments. 1) Skincare with products and microneedling/PRP 2) PDT Light Therapy a few times per month with growth factors 3) Laser treatments like Clear +...
