It is totally fine to have them done on the same day. Which goes first depends on the level of the filler injections. For examples, tear trough and cheek filler is placed right on the bone so the order does not matter. If filler is being placed in the dermis (like lines around the mouth in a smoker), I would do the filler last.Hope that helps!Dr. Nazarian
Hi @500c! I would recommend spacing the treatments apart by 2 weeks. Typically, 3-6 sessions are necessary for optimal results. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Yes, you can do Micro needling after Fillers injection. It is recommended to wait 2 weeks post having the fillers. I would also recommend that you let the nurse or doctor that is doing the procedure know where you have had the fillers.
To insure optimum results and to not disrupt the initial procedure, we actually prefer our patients to wait at least two weeks post injectables to have a microneedling procedure.
With any treatment that has the potential to disrupt or penetrate the dermis, we would want to do the fillers as the last step. We prefer fractional laser resurfacing to microneedling, but always place the dermal fillers after the resurfacing treatments. Hi, thank you for your question! Yes, it is safe to have microneedling done after having filler placed. I recommend waiting two weeks between treatments.
Thank you for your question! Doing microneedling aftera filler treatment is perfectly fine. It can even be made right on the same daythat you have had your filler treatment. However, this would be a littlecomplex since you might run the risk of displacing the fillers especially ifyou are placing fillers on your dermis such as those fine lines around the areaof the mouth. In this case, it would be better to do microneedling first andfiller last. But if you are to have filler injections in your cheek or teartrough, the order of which to give first will not matter. If the filler were given after microneedling, it wouldbe better to wait out for at least a couple of weeks to allow proper andcomplete healing of the micro injuries made by microneedling. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. It is best to wait for skin to heal after microneedling before volume fillers are injected. There are many treatments and combining best will give you the best outcome. Combination treatment will be needed like Clear + Brilliant laser, microneedling and eMatrix. Microneedling + PRP is better than microneedling alone. Dr H Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member
Yes, it is perfectly fine to have micro-needling done even on the same day as filler injections. I agree it is better to do the fillers after the micro-needling treatment.Regarding Dr. Kaplan's comment about preferring fractional laser resurfacing to micro-needling, medical micro-needling, when properlydone and combined with effective skin care products such as human growth-factorserums, can give as good or better results than fractionated laser treatments andat a fraction of the cost! Micro-needling works by stimulating the skin to trigger the release of growth factors tocreate more collagen and elastic fibers, resulting in thicker, healthier lookingskin. Lasers can only work by damaging the skin to cause the sameeffect.
Hi @erika16! Dry skin is normal to experience for 2-3 days after microneedling. I would recommend using Hyaluronic Acid Serum to help with the dryness. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
I tell my patients not to use their own products for 48 hours and offer a recovery kit which is compatible with microneedling. Most home products are not designed for deeper absorption through the microchannels.
Microneedling offers a permanent solution to scar improvements with multiple treatments. We tyically recommend 4 treatments spaced several weeks apart and then once a year for further improvement. Microneedling is very effective in darker skin individuals, more so than laser...
