Hi all, It's been 4 months since I got a microneedling procedure done by a well known, board certified plastic surgeon. I went to his office seeking consultation for my minor ice pick scars on my cheeks. I paid $2,500 for what he called medical microneedling and it has widened my ice pick scars as well as caused persistent redness/red texture. They told me that redness will last for a 6-8 weeks, but at this point it's been 4 months. I am concerned about this experience and I feel violated, especially since the recommendation for the procedure was done in haste, and was not fully explained to me what is going to take place besides this is a real microneedling procedure, we are the only ones that do this. I have not found an equivalent procedure online about such an aggressive microneedling procedure. The entire time while he did the procedure, he talked about how this is the only kind of microneedling that is actually effective, and any other kind is a useless cash-grab. He said it is required to be aggressive with the approach to actually stimulate collagen. My skin was bleeding, bruised, scabbed, and I had extreme swelling the next day. He used a combination of dermaroller, a skin pen, and a needle. With the dermaroller, he beat my face, as in literally hit my face with it over and over again. I had numbing cream as well as lidocaine injections. It took about 2 weeks for the scabbing and major redness/bruising to subside. I had overall redness for weeks after, and now at 4 months I have redness in small patches. Can someone please explain what has been done to my face? I feel lied to and very upset that the icepicks scars are actually much more visible and more wide than before. There are literally icepick scars that I never noticed now that are apparent on my cheeks. Is this a legitimate procedure? What can I do at this point? Would really appreciate the knowledge and help by board certified surgeons who are familiar with this method.
I got stretch marks from having a baby last year. They werent bad, but I went to a professional for microneedling to see if it would make them go away. My third and so far last treatment was in November of 2018, its now March 2019 and Im still red in the areas she did. I developed a rash in the areas she did about 2 weeks after the second treating. The rash itself went away but I was left with redness. The redness isnt as bad but its still there. Why? What can I do? Permanent!?
I had my second microneedling procedure on Friday and this time added PRP. I was slightly red the first day and had nearly no redness the second day and completely back to normal by day 3 which was unlike my first microneedling procedure (also with a different person than the first) 6 weeks ago. I was very red the first and second day. I just hope I got my moneys worth on the second procedure since it was double the price.
I had microneedling done at a med spa here in Orlando. After the technician treated my cheeks (the reason for my visit, for old acne scarring), she decided to spot-treat two specific areas under my eyes. Each area was a line about an inch long. The two lines were red and bloody after treatment, and the next morning they were indented and very dark. Three months post-procedure, I have scars in these spots. Please advise re: what may have happened, and what correction might be possible.
I had three sessions of microneedling done at local skin clinic. Now its been more than a year and my face is still red. during micro needling sessions , they avoided my eye area. so now my whole face is red , except the eye area . Everyone comments on my mismatched skin tone.I followed their aftercare advise , I avoided harsh chemicals , used sunscreen . what are my options , kindly advise.
I had 2 procedurs of micronidling 3 month ago, i always had very very white skin like snow, but now i have red/braun skin on my face, like i have tan! My neck is white. What can i do? When it goes away, or this is permanent?
Microneedling and PRP 36 hours later. It appears I have scratches and after washing my face with gentle cleansers, I feel burning again. The redness was so bad the morning after, that I had to put 2 layers of full coverage makeup. Is my skin damaged and what should I do? Was the procedure properly done? This was done for anti aging benefits, I have porcelain skin. Please help!
I had microneedling done about 6 days ago at a reputable plastic surgeon's office. After this procedure (done in the morning) I made the mistake of putting on a heavy facial moisturizer that evening just before bed. Next day I woke up with a break out of sorts on my face. The breakout has lessened, and I have no itching, but my face is still quite red. Should I be concerned? And, would any kind of adverse affect like this, hamper the long term results of what is typically a good outcome for me?
