Is it okay to lose 10-15 lbs after getting a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Question

I am 5'4 and weight about 145 lbs. I'm getting a bbl soon and I plan on waiting about two months after to begin to exercise again. Is it okay if I lose 10 to 15 pounds after two months of my bbl. will it affect my new butt??

After you get the fat injected in your buttocks, that fat will shrink in volume if you lose weight, or it will increase in size if you gain weight. If you lose less than 10lb, the changes will be minimal, but more than 10lb for your height, you will notice that your buttock size goes smaller, so if you are planning on losing 15lb, just lose 5lb before the surgery, so once you lose 10lb more the change in the size of the buttocks will be less noticeable.

You can lose or gain as much weight as you like after a Brazilian buttock lift procedure. You need to be aware that if you lose weight, you will lose volume (size) in your buttock. Your shape will not change dramatically but your size will. Keep that in mind as you lose weight after surgery- because the new fat cells in the buttock will atrophy.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Thanks for your question. The Brazilian butt lift surgery is a long-lasting procedure. However, if
 you happen to lose weight, the fat will shrink – and if you gain 
weight, the fat will expand. In most cases, about 70% of the injected 
fat will remain in the area, and about 30% will be reabsorbed by the 
body.

I generally believe patients look their best at an ideal BMI.It's true that your bottom will shrink but so will the rest of your body.You will maintain an improved proportion and shape after your procedure. Losing weight after BBL a bad idea as you will starve your fat cells that have been newly transplanted and shrink the gains in your buttocks. I recommend that you have surgery when you are at your comfort weight (this is the weight that you are comfortable at and don't have to stress out to keep). Please buttocks enhancement options.
