Longevity and use Belotero vs Juvederm?

It is in fact, much less expensive, however if longevity was what you were going for, Belotero is not the right filler for your cheeks. Radiesse, and Sculptra are also generally less expensive than Voluma and will give you a longer lasting result.

Hi Fitz.  You are correct that Belotero does not last as long as Voluma.  Voluma is a very thick product that is often used in the cheeks.  Belotero is a much thinner product and is often used under the eyes or in the lips.  If longer duration is what you are looking for, we would suggest Radiesse and Sculptra as alternatives for Voluma.  

Yes, Belotero doesn't last as long as Juvederm. Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

These are two very different fillers. Yes, they are both HA's fillers (hyaluronic acid) but they differ from each other in how they are cross-link and are used for different purposes and places. One good way to try to understand how they differ is by thinking of Belotero as a very "thin" filler and Voluma as a "thick" filler.  Belotero is cheaper but not as long lasting. In my experience Belotero will last about 6 months for lines in the glabella (between eyes) and forehead. It'll last about 4 months for perioral  lines (around the lip). Voluma on the other hand  is great for example to augment cheeks and will last about a year or so. I use Voluma if I'm going deep in the tissues, not superficial. In that case, I like to use Belotero. I hope this helps!

Although both Voluma and Belotero are hyaluronic acid fillers, they are processed differently and are used for different purposes in different areas.  Voluma will last longer than Belotero Balance but is not appropriate for certain areas such as the lips or tear troughs.
