"A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer"
In our practice we use many Allergan products such as Juvederm or Voluma for volume. We always start slow in terms of how much volume we inject in the chin. Based off of your pictures, it appears that you will need very minimal amounts of filler in that area to achieve your desired results. Possibly one, no more than two ml's of Juvederm filler. Best of luck.
Dear Dana, Its better to start small on dermal filler and top up should you wish. I would recommend you start with 1ml of either Juvederm or Belotero. In my opinion I would suggest you get a muscle relaxing injection (botox) to relax your masseter muscle, it looks clenched in your third picture. Although very hard to tell as we only see the pictures of your side profile, however this may be necessary to achieve your desired effect. Goodluck
Hello Dana,Thanks for your question. I agree that bringing your chin forward a little will help create a more balanced yet natural chin and profile. I would start with 1ml of filler, but you may need a second. Better to start slow and build the chin up over two sessions if needed than overfill in one session. Thanks!
I estimate that it would take 2 syringes (2 cc’s) of Voluma to augment your chin. Your other option, of course, is to have a chin implant to have a permanent correction.
Thank you for your question. Swelling and bruising is not uncommon with tear trough injections. Using cold paks, Arnica, and bromalain can all help reduce the swelling and get rid of the bruising quicker. Swelling can last up to 2 weeks. I encourage you to remain patient and not judge any ...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Hi and thank you for your question! It might take up to two weeks to swelling is fully resolved fully injection so it is still too early to do an evaluation for that. During the two-week period, you should stay watchful for signs of rare but possible complications such as infection but other...
