Effects of Belotero fading in just 2 months? Is this normal? (photos)

Question

Two months ago I got Belotero fillers and was happy with the results but now it already seems that the product started to fade. Given that I was expecting it to last a year (one syrenge, half under each eye) im disappointed with how quickly its fading away. Is this normal?

Usually Belotero Balance in the lower eyelids area last up to 12 months, but what it can happen is that you need more volume on the lower eyelids. Half of the syringe on each lower eyelid, may not be enough for a patient like you. Also if the patient loses  weight that can affect the results, as that requires more volume to be replaced. Aditionally you may need at least oone more syringe to replace the volume in the tear trough area.

Belotero typically lasts between 6-8 months, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers combined with lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. Many individuals think that the tear trough area should be filled when in reality, the mid cheek area needs filler. Filler in the mid cheek gives support for the tear trough region and should be done first, then the tear trough can be assessed. Please consult an experienced cosmetic dermatologist for assessment.
