I feel my nasal tip is disproportionately large/shapeless, especially in comparison with my small mouth. I'd like to obtain a more angular, structured shape at the tip of my nose - in harmony with the rest of my features. I have a relatively high nasal bridge but I really like the shape of it, and don't want to change it at all. Is it possible to correct the tip without touching the bones? If I reduce the size of my nasal tip, will the side angle of the nose become uneven? Thank you so much!
Answer: Rhinoplasty Surgery Thank you for your question. The latest Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty device Piezo®: In traditional Rhinoplasty, surgical instruments known as rasps and osteotomies (hammer and chisel) are used to reshape the nasal bones by removing the hump and/or narrowing the nasal bone width. These tools are relatively imprecise and their use can lead to contour irregularities, etc. if not used in the proper manner. Recently, a technology that uses sound waves has been developed to contour nasal bones in a precise and far less traumatic way when compared to traditional techniques. Ultrasonic, or Piezo, Rhinoplasty is now the most advanced technology available for minimally traumatic nasal bone reshaping and hump removal during Rhinoplasty. There will be hardly any bruising and swelling which will make the recovery period a lot easier for the patient.

Answer: Bulbous nasal tip Thank you for your enquiry. In the first instance, I suggest you seek expert clinical consultation in person to facilitate assessment of your structural nasal anatomy and overlying soft tissues. From the photographs supplied, it appears that you likely have bulky cartilaginous structures in your nasal tip which are creating an appearance that you do not like. It may be possible for this to be addressed by tip-plasty, perhaps in conjunction with alar base reduction to achieve a more proportionate, defined aesthetic. Hope helpful.

Answer: Candidate for revision rhinoplasty to refine the tip? Based on your photos, you appear to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty to refine your tip. I might also suggest a slight correction on the bridge to straighten it and reduce it slightly to create the most proportionate look. While it doesn't seem you would need much correction, this procedure is still one of the most complex of all plastic surgeries. Make sure you choose an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can show you many before and after photos of previous patients. Image morphing can also help you "see" your results so your expectations are in line with your results.

Answer: Bulbous Tip You are very beautiful as you are. The combination of dark hair and blue eyes is dramatic. I am sure you get plenty of compliment on your eyes. An interesting sequelae of rhinoplasty is that it often makes your eyes look more dramatic and noticeable because the (slight) bulbosity of your tip draws the viewers eye away from your eyes. To your question, the answer depends on the type of tip contour you are seeking. A subtle reduction would be fruitful, but you could take it down a little more and not look fake at all. An interesting observation you might make as you study noses you like, is the concept of the supra tip dip. A pretty tip has highlights and low lights, like facets on a diamond. A bulbous tip lacks these facets. If your dorsum was taken down just a little, a nice supra tip break would highlight the tip. Just an example of a (rather extreme) supra tip dip would be Meghan Markle's nose. I use her nose not as a recommendation for how your nose should look, but rather to educate your eye. After you evaluate your desires, it would be best if you sought a rhinoplasty surgeon who employs digital imaging so that you could evaluate your options. Please pick a skilled surgeon, it would be a shame to mess up such a pretty nose!

Answer: Tip rhinoplasty Hi Thanks for posting photos. I agree that your profile looks pretty good and that you would be a good candidate for a tip rhinoplasty. This would involved thinning the tissues under the skin, removing some of the tip cartilage and refining the shape with sutures, I would also recommend a small cartilage graft on the tip which would give more definition (this would come from inside the nose). In addition you could have 2 mm taken off the dorsal bridge if you wanted but this would be discussed with you in a consultation. Regards Damien
