How long does it take for you skin to skin wrap if the nose was reduced in size?

The tip of the nose can take up to a year to achieve really good definition after rhinoplasty.  One thing that can accelerate the process is to have a serious preparation injected into the tip of the nose, using a steroid called kenalog.

It takes one year for the skin to shrink to the new size knows. The only possible way of making this faster is patience and time.    

 Full healing after a rhinoplasty takes one year, and there some very subtle changes that can even occur after that. The skin does tend to shrink wrap over the new cartilaginous framework after a rhinoplasty, and management of the skin tissue envelope is part of the postoperative care by your original surgeon. Tape, cortisone shots and a low salt diet will also help. There are many variables to the healing process such as what surgical techniques were performed inside the nose, the thickness of the skin, and the overall speed of the healing process.

The nose after rhinoplasty can literally continue to change for years after surgery.  It depends on many factors such as skin thickness and the degree of cartilage removal that was performed.  You may notice some minor refinement over the next several months but I would expect by 4 months postop most of the swelling from surgery should have resolved.  I would direct your concern to your surgeon.
