Will nose get more of a slope as swelling diminishes? I'm 9 days post op (Photo)

By looking at your right after the surgery photo, it seems that you will have a very nice result. Imagine that now the tissues on your nose are like a sponge that gets fluid accumulation under the skin, so there is swelling and the shape is not the same as just after the surgery, you need to wait to see the final results, at 9 days after the surgery, you still have a least another 50% of swelling to go away, and it may take a full year for all the swelling to go away, but most of the times around 6 months after the surgery you will look pretty close to posted photo after the surgery.

I think you appear to be healing just fine. It is not at all unusual for the bridge to swell after the tape/ cast are removed. Your pictures from the OR should be a good approximation for your final result. Good luck!Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Thank you for your post.The chances of you having a good result based on the post op picture is good. You lose 30% of the swelling in 3 months and all of the swelling in one year. Good luck!
