How long after rhinoplasty can I resume kickboxing and rigorous physical activity?

There are no strict scientific rules about timing of restrictions following rhinoplasty. In general at least for a few weeks following the surgery people are supposed to maintain a low  activity level. When it comes to contact sports and the risk of getting hit in the nose the rules are more strict and I personally advise people for restraining from such activities for at least three months.

Dear helglimm3r,in contact sports there is always a chance of injury. Also, running after the rhinoplasty can cause bleeding and swelling. Hello,Thank you for your question. During the first 6 weeks, you can resume all normal functional activities such as work, socializing and light physical activity.  It would actually be better to finish your kickboxing career first, and then undergo rhinoplasty procedure. In our practice, we ask patients to refrain from heavy exercise for two weeks and avoid contact sports for six weeks.

Dear helglimm3r, Every surgeon has a post operative protocol that they ask their patients to follow.  I would suggest that you speak with your surgeon and discuss your daily activities and since he/she will know best where you are in the recovery phase they can discuss the pros and cons of your requested activities. On another note, I find it unusual that you are having a dorsal hump reduction and placement of a silicone implant on the bridge?
