Have been extremely swollen and bruised, way more than I have seen others on this site before. My cheeks, lips, and whole face is puffy and swollen. For this reason I was expecting to look swollen and avatar-like when my doc removed my cast, but not this bad!!! I am panicking because I can't tell if my nose is going to be this wide or if it's just swelling. I had a bump removed and osteotomies performed as well as a pretty major septoplasty.

Answer: 7 days post rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. The swelling post rhinoplasty is slow to settle and can take months and even up to a year to do so completely. The final result of the surgery only becomes apparent after all the swelling has subsided. So it is far too early to worry or expect to see any result from the procedure. You should relax and allow the healing to take place. If ongoing concerns, see your surgeon. All the best.

Answer: Rhinoplasty takes time to heal Don't worry! You are still swollen at a week and it takes some time for it t go away. The more bruised and swollen you are, the longer it will take - much longer than a week!! Each patient is different, so what you see with one person may have little to do with what you see. Your doctor was there at the time of your surgery and saw how you REALLY look (before swelling and bruising) so let him see you and I'm sure you can be reassured that all will be well.
