Ive been thinking about getting liposuction for some time now, I love my entire body except for this stubborn fat on my stomach. Ive had it since I was a child and I just want it to finally go away. If liposuction is not the answer then what is? Also I'm not looking to get a TT just yet, thanks! 5'9 21yrs

I always explain to patients that there are 2 issues when it comes to body contouring - volume and skin. Liposuction only treats the volume (fatty tissue) and does not treat the skin. Sometimes liposuction only can leave even more loose skin. A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, is the treatment to remove the excess skin and tighten the abdominal region. So if the loose skin bothers you, then a tummy tuck procedure is the best treatment for you. However, the best recommendation can only be provided after an in-person consultation so that an appropriate physical examination can be performed and the options explained to you

Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question and photo. Your concern is the "hanging stomach". Liposuction is used to get rid of stubborn fat but will not address the loose skin. In your case a tummy tuck will give you the results I believe you are looking for. However you stated you are not wanting a tummy tuck yet and you are young and could want more children in the future so it may be best to wait until you are done having kids.
