Would liposuction of the upper arms be considered two areas?

I'm thinking of getting chin liposuction as well as liposuction on my arms. I was wondering if getting liposuction in the arms is considered two areas instead of one? So would the price of liposuction double when getting your arms done? Thank you!

Arm liposuction is one area.  To compare, we do not charge two face lifts because we have two sides to our face, or charge for two breasts for a breast augmentation, or charge for two eyes for an eye lift. . . . . .

Thank you very much for this question. The zones of lipo-suction is always an area of very individual interpretation and hence confusion for the patients. In my practice both arms are one zone. The chin and both arms would be considered three areas. Every surgeon charges differently. Some charge by area. Some charge by the amount of fat removed. While you do want to be cost conscious, you do not want to bargain shop. A successful liposuction outcome is almost entirely dependent on the skill and experience of your surgeon. Hope this helps.

Well unfortunately there are no pictures. Different surgeons will have different answers. I consider the arms to be one area. If you do your chin and your arms I would consider this two areas. I strongly recommend that the most important decision in picking your surgeon is number one that he or she is a board certified plastic surgeon. Each surgeon has different financial guidelines. Some surgeons will charge per area while other will charge for the amount of fat removed (possibly adjusting if they need to turn the patient over). Consult in person with an experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeon to understand your options.
