I'm getting liposuction in the beginning of July and I had met someone recently who had liposuction and was two month in and he looked great but he said he had pins and needles on his left side since and I felt his around the area and some areas felt stiff and he said it was scar tissue. Can I expect this too? Also he said he needed to take two weeks off and was very swollen but I plan to recover just over the weekend. What can I expect?

Answer: Liposuction: what to expect post-op hello kaylarose0324 Pain and discomfort after liposuction varies according to patients, oral medication is given to control pain in the first few days. Discomfort is usually based on the extent to which the location and number of areas treated. Most swelling and bruising will heal in the first 2 weeks, but can persist for up to 6-8 weeks. Patients can expect to resume normal activities in 1-2 weeks, office work in 3-5days, active jobs in 14days, exercise in 2weeks, walking, swimming, or riding a stationary bicycle a few days after surgery. #recovery #swell

Answer: Liposuction recovery Recovery from liposuction is going to depend on how much fat is removed, from where and how your body heals. Having said that, your friend's experience is pretty typical. You can expect a week to two of discomfort and it will take anywhere from 3-6 months for the swelling to fully subside. A weekend to heal doesn't sound like enough to me unless your job is very sedentary...
