Thank you for your question. Please consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon for your recovery instructions. It is best to avoid exercise that raises blood pressure as it may delay any healing process by increasing the inflammation.Best wishes,
Most Doctors recommend waiting at least 24 hours before resuming exercise. Keep in mind, it can take 1-2 weeks for final results with lip injections. Best, Dr. Emer
Waiting for 24-48 hours after the lip augmentation was performed is probably a good idea to help decrease the risk of worse bruising and swelling. In terms of the final result, cardio that soon after the procedure probably does not have any influence on the final result.Good luck!
Dear dnlmedina1994,if you were my patient, I would recommend you to wait at least one day before you continue your exercises. If you start too early with cardio, you risk worsening of your swelling. If you have any concerns, you can consult your injector.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your lip augmentation! Swelling after filler placement into the lips is quite common due to the thin nature of the tissues. This swelling will only worsen with exercise and I would avoid cardio for at least a day's time. To try and reduce the swelling use cold compresses to your lips and elevate your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your inquiry. You can do cardio without affecting your final results. However i advise my patients to relax after their treatment. They can resume activities after 24 hours. Best,
Thank you for your excellent question. I recommend that my patients avoid bending, heavy lifting and strenuous activities such as cardio for 24 hours after lip augmentation. These activities may exacerbate normal postprocedure swelling and bruising. Please be sure to address any specific questions or concerns to your injector. Hope this helps and best wishes!
It is perfectly OK to do cardio after lip injections. As long as it feels right to you, you can go back to your regular activities 2 hours after your injections.Best of luck!
I would recommend conservative lip augmentation with Hyaluronic Acid, like Juvederm Ultra plus to see if you like the look. Another option is fat transfer which is more permanent. It is done under local anesthesia and fat is usually taken from the lower abdomen or thighs. Studies show that at...
Thank you for your question. You submitted several photos that are extremely helpful. You’re asking about what you can do to help improve the coverage of your teeth and the appearance of your lips at rest, when you are smiling, and when you’re smiling with your lips together. I can share wit...
Most lip fillers last about 6-12 months, depending on the type of filler used and how quickly your body breaks it down. So there is most likely no filler left in your lips at this point. The unevenness that you see when you smile can be corrected with filler, even if there is still a little left...
