Thank you for your question. Please consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon for your recovery instructions. It is best to avoid exercise that raises blood pressure as it may delay any healing process by increasing the inflammation.Best wishes,
Most Doctors recommend waiting at least 24 hours before resuming exercise. Keep in mind, it can take 1-2 weeks for final results with lip injections. Best, Dr. Emer
Waiting for 24-48 hours after the lip augmentation was performed is probably a good idea to help decrease the risk of worse bruising and swelling. In terms of the final result, cardio that soon after the procedure probably does not have any influence on the final result.Good luck!
Dear dnlmedina1994,if you were my patient, I would recommend you to wait at least one day before you continue your exercises. If you start too early with cardio, you risk worsening of your swelling. If you have any concerns, you can consult your injector.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your lip augmentation! Swelling after filler placement into the lips is quite common due to the thin nature of the tissues. This swelling will only worsen with exercise and I would avoid cardio for at least a day's time. To try and reduce the swelling use cold compresses to your lips and elevate your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Hope this helps.
