Would lower leg bruising (due to a fall) increase blood clot risk during a BR?

Asked By:Emma Watson in Los Angeles, CA

A fall that happens 13 days before a BR procedure that is expected to last 3 hours- results in a large dark purple bruise right next to a large varicose vein right below the knee. No idea what the bruise will look like on the day of surgery but should a call be made to surgeon regarding this or would she be wasting their time? Thanks! The fall wasn't serious- just a slip!
