I recently had my first Kybella treatment done. I asked my doctor how many vials he was using and he told me 4 syringes. I see doctors and patients using both terms and I'm wondering if they're the same thing.
Answer: Vials of Kybella They are not the same. Kybella comes in a 2ml vial; we inject Kybella with 1ml syringes. If you received 4 syringes, that probably means that you received 2 vials of Kybella for your first treatment. For Kybella treatment of submental fullness, the average number vials for the first treatment is 2-4 vials. Hope that is helpful.

Answer: Understanding Kybella Treatments No, vials and syringes are not the same thing. Syringes come in different sizes. For example, common syringe sizes are 1cc, 3cc, and 5cc. Kybella comes in 2cc vials. Importantly, it is not how much Kybella you were provided but the technique and administration of the product by the practitioner. Thus, it is most important to get an evaluation and be treated by an expert who has experience. As an example, 3 vials injected by one provider may not give the great result as one vial injected by another expert practitioner. We combine Kybella with our CORE RF technology for ultimate results.

Answer: Syringes or Vials: Understanding Kybella--add thermage, ultherapy, exilis, VASER, ThermiRE for best results Kybella comes in a vial that can ultimately fill 2 (1 ml) syringes. Keep in mind, Kybella results can take up to 6-8 weeks and usually require a series of treatments. Also, for best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Kybella comes in 2 cc vials It is more important to know how many vials were used, since Kybella comes in 2 cc vials. The product is then drawn into syringes for injection. Juvederm on the other hand comes in syringes so that is the term used for fillers. Botox is a freeze dried powder, which is reconstituted by adding saline, and the concentration can be varied depending on the injector's preference; so with Botox you need to know the units, not the vial or syringe.
