How long does it take to see the complete results from a Kybella treatment?

done by the manufacturer, the interval between the Kybella injections was every
4 weeks. However it has been our experience that it can take up to 6 weeks to
get the final results of Kybella so at my clinic, I usually do the
following injection 6 weeks later, although there is probably no harm in doing
it in 4 weeks either. There is also no problem if for whatever reason the
patient cannot  come in 6 weeks and come later for the subsequent

Kybella results can take up to 6-8 weeks and usually require a series of treatments. Also, for best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I have found that final results from each injection are evident at 6-8 weeks. Most people need more than one session, so performing the second round at 4-6 weeks is perfectly acceptable. Be sure you are receiving treatments from a board certified core injector (facial plastic surgeon, plastic surgeon, or dermatologist). Good luck!

the first and thus-far only FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment for
the double chin. A series of 2-4 treatments is recommended, sometimes up to 6 treatments. I do not recommend a single session to my patients. I treat my patients every three months as we see better results when waiting longer between treatments. Please

Kybella is deoxycholic acid, an injectable for under the chin to decrease fat in the submental (double chin) area.  The treatment creates an inflammatory process and you will have swelling for several days to a week or longer.  It is recommended to wait 4-8 weeks before subsequent treatments.  We typically recommend 8 weeks, simply to allow the medication to work fully before completing additional treatments.  However, most patients begin to see results after about 4 weeks.  Some patients do not see much improvement until after their second or third treatment, as it takes the series to see optimal results.  As always, we recommend an in person consultation to ensure that you are a good candidate for the series since many factors play into choosing a patient to undergo Kybella series.

Kybella injections are done under the chin in what's called the "submental" or double chin area.   I've seen great results within 6-8 weeks.  Depending on how much fullness you have, you may need several sessions. The results are amazing and well worth the wait!  Good luck!

As you may have been told the average number of Kybella treatments to achieve optimal outcome is 2-4; this however will vary person to person depending on how big the fat pad is and ultimately how much the person desires to have "destroyed". You are now 4 weeks out but our experience has shown that even up to 6-8 weeks post injection additional results can be seen. So if you want to know whether your "need" the next treatment see your doctor in two weeks which puts you nicely in that window for an in person evaluation and see how much of a fat pad remains and whether you desire to have additional fat removal. Also understand the fat lost is permanent thus is you decide now to not go forward but in a few months decide you desire to improve on your results you will have lost nothing in having an additional treatment then because the results are additive, in other words its not like you have to start all over again!
