I was seeking Sientra but my doctor was set on Inspira. He said Sientra does not have sizers for surgery. Now I don't mind Inspira as long as they are softer to the touch and are as safe. Can Inspira give me the natural teardrop look? I already have implants so I am not going for the shaped implant.
Answer: Breast Implant Manufacturer Hello,Hmm, seems unlikely that he has sizers for an implant that just came out in the last month, but not for implants that have been around for three years. It's entirely possible though. Another interesting thing is that the Sientra company only sells implants to surgeons Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; the other companies sell to any MD.How important are sizers to your specific surgery? Performing breast augmentation with the least amount of removal and replacement of instruments and sizers is superior to a surgery where multiple sizers are going in and out of the pocket, potentially contaminating the final implants, and leading to a higher risk of capsular contracture. We surgeons all have our favorite implant, but none are so great that we can't accommodate our patient's specific request for an implant manufacturer. Go see some other docs: Certified by the ABPS and members of the ASAPS.Best of luck!

Answer: Tear drop look Hello,I Use Allergan implants and Inspira, smooth, round very frequently in my practice as these have been around with a long, safe track record in Canada for many years. They do provide a "tear drop" natural shape when placed under the muscle. Tru form 1 or 2 will have slightly different degrees of cohesivity so a softer gel which collapses more easily in the upper pole is an option for patients who are concerned with softness. All the best!

Answer: Inspira vs. Sientra breast implants I would tend to disagree with the last surgeon. While sterile technique is obviously important, I don't know of any study to date showing that the use sizers increases the risk for capsular contracture. I personally use sizers for almost all of my breast enhancement surgeries because they allow me to actually fit the patient with the exact size that they need while accommodating for any difference in size between the two sides. As far as Sientra vs. Inspira, I prefer the Inspira implants and would point out that both are round and that they will effectively achieve a tear drop look on their own. If you want a little more of the tear drop appearance, then your best best is to go with a shaped anatomic implant (although I really think these are over-rated for the most part).I hope that helps and wish you the best of luck!

Answer: What's better: Inspira or Sientra round implants? There's no "better" in general, just what's better for YOU. Impossible to tell without seeing you and knowing more about what you want. Inspira are overfilled gel relative to conventionally available Natrelle Gel devices. They are not designed to offer a natural teardrop look, although they may do so if you have extra skin after children. If you are not sure, ask to feel samples of both Inspira and Sientra so you yourself can determine which is softer. They are both equally safe. Your final statement, "I already have implants so I am not going for the shaped implant" doesn't make sense without more context. Just this morning I implanted anatomically shaped devices in a woman with problems from her previous round implants. The shaped devices are excellent products and offer outstanding results for many.
