Answer: Compression Foam Hello,You should have a specialized foam, typically Epifoam, to help ensure your skin is not bunching together in the first 2 to 4 weeks after surgery. Visit you surgeon ASAP. Best of luck!

Answer: Compression garment Dear juliegrace911,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. Compression garments are used to prevent swelling and most plastic surgeons recommend it. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Compression Garment Question-Ask Your Doctor & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave I recommend following up with your Doctor to make sure your compression garment fits. I have my patients wear customized compression. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Line post-trunk surgery Dear Julie, many thanks for your question It is not uncommon for the swelling of the soft tissues to manifest themselves with creases and lines after surgery as a result of th combination of swelling and the compression garments and/or abdominal binder (band). One thing that I advise my patients to purchase and wear is a sponge pad to wear under the compression garment to try to prevent the creasing of the skin with the overlying garment. Then I use is the KPad from Lipoelastic. Manual lymphatic drainage is also an option. I wish you well, and congratulations on your recent surgery. Best wishes, Marcus
