I had Botox done 2 weeks by my regular dermatologist that I've been going to for years. One of my eyelids is drooping. I am going to go back to show them next week but wanted to ask here in advance if more Botox to lift the corner of the brow can help or if I should wait it out. I got a droop one other time many years ago & if I recall, they put more Botox to fix it, but I can't recall if it helped.
Answer: More Botox for Botox Droop (Ptosis) Hi NSS. Yes, what you have suggested is possible, but it depends on the treatment that was performed previously. We offer a treatment called the Botox browlift where we relax the area between the eyes and the crow's feet area at the sides of your eyes. If the crow's feet were not dosed the last time you were in, it's very possible to correct some of the ptosis by dosing this area.To learn more about the Botox (Dysport) browlift and see before and after photos, check the link below.

Answer: Botox: Drooping eyelid Dear nssvintage, Thank you for your question. That is great to hear that you have contacted your dermatologist and arranged a follow-up appointment, which I would have recommended. In our practice, we typically offer a two-week follow-up visit to give time for any neurotoxin or filler treatment to settle and reach its maximal effect, and touch-up treatments can then be done at that visit to address any asymmetries or other issues. If it is your lateral brow that is drooping, sometimes a small injection of Botox in the tail of the brow can help lift it up more. If the eyelid itself is drooping, medications such as apraclonidine may be beneficial. Sometimes, the best plan of care is to observe and allow the Botox to wear off, especially if the drooping is occurring more in the medial brow. Make sure to discuss your concerns with your provider and with an in-person evaluation, they can discuss with you the best treatment options to address your issue.

Answer: Generally no, this is not fixed by more botox. If the inner eyelid is drooping, a drop called iopidine can help open the eyelid. The drop is not perfect. Generally when the eyelid is very heavy, it will not work at all. In fact, when the drop does work it forecasts that the ptosis will wear off in 4 to 6 weeks. When it does not work, the ptosis will take much longer to wear off. If what is drooping is not the actual eyelid but the upper eyelid fold, that means the eyebrow is heavy from being frozen by botox. This can be helped by superimposing a correcting treatment. Generally I would recommend waiting about 6 weeks to do this if we are talking about a heavy eyebrow. Consider posting a photograph for more concrete recommendations.

Answer: Drooping eyelid after botox Sorry you had this happen. A picture would be helpful to distinguish between two possible scenarios. If the full eyelid is drooping, then you need to wait it out. There are eyedrops that can help elevate the eyelid which may help. The drooping usually gets better over a few weeks. If the eyebrow is pushed down from too much botox in the forehead, it usually makes sense to wait it out. The eyebrow droop will improve as the botox wears off.
