Will antibiotics impact my Botox results?

Hi,I am not aware of any contraindications for having BOTOX and taking antibiotics at the same time. You should not experience any problems.

Your outcome will not be adversely affected by being on antibiotics around the time of your Botox treatment.Good luck!

Thank you for your post. As the others have stated antibiotics should not interfere with this treatment. As with any surgical procedure you want to avoid any blood thinners to prevent excess bruising, swelling, and bleeding. Best of luck!

There will be no interference between your Botox treatment and antibiotics. You can go ahead with your treatment

You should have no problems taking antibiotics and being injected with Botox. Antibiotics are not contraindicated for Botox injections.

As the previous physicians thoughtfully explained, there is no evidence and/or reasonable consideration which would suggest that you're under any harm. One related but separate and often overlooked consideration is the underlying reason that you're taking antibiotics. Often, what should be a limited courses of treatment can turn into an extended (even "long-term") course of medication which when carelessly prescribed can lead to great harm.

So there is nothing in the literature in my experience that suggests antiobitcs will alter the effect or longevity of botox. That is not to say it is not possible but it is such a widely used drug that I imagine someone would have noticed an effect by now if there were one. Hope that helps. Adam Goodwin

As the other experts have stated here, there should be no contraindication between antibiotics and Botox.

No, antibiotics won't interfere with your botox treatment.  One of the things to avoid would be aspirin or blood thinners five days prior to your appointment. This decreases the chances of bruising and bleeding. I hope I was able to answer your question for you.
