Answer: When Hair Cloning will be Available for Hair Restoration I have been responding to this question in the last 10 years and my answer has not changed since! Hair multiplication, also referred to as hair cloning is a procedure in which a few hair will be removed from the donor area and multiplied and transplanted to the balding area. If becomes available hair cloning will be the best solution for hair loss sufferers who don't have enough hair to donate to the balding area. There have been may studies that guided us to understand the mechanism of hair multiplication better. Hair multiplication was even done in animals and volunteer patients. However, no one has started the process of phase III study to prove its long term efficiency and safety. If anyone starts this study tomorrow it will usually takes 8-10 years for us to have something practical assuming that all studies go well and they don't prove to be harmful to the recipients of cloned hair.

Answer: Cloning of Hair The answer is yes. Pretty near every organ in the body is being cloned in the laboratory at the present time. Hair is no exception. However, the technology to clone and transplant hair follicles and other organs is not at a point to open it up to the public. I personally believe that cloning and transplanting hair will be possible sooner than ten years; however, I do not know how much ssooner.
