For a woman with genetically thinning hair, MPB on top with very thick donor site in back of head, which of these two transplant options would be better? Also, would the top of the head need to be shaved to do the transplant or can the hair just be cut short?
Answer: For women who will never keep their hairs buzz cut short (like men) FUE may NOT be the best option. For women who will never keep their hairs buzz cut short (like men) FUE may NOT be the best option. FUE involves shaving your scalp for the surgery. FUT does not require a hair cut or a shave.

Answer: Hair Transplantation for Women Using FUE or FUT? #hairtransplantation We have had great results with hair transplantation using the FUE method for women. Although we do shave the donor site, we leave the hair above and below the donor site alone. Therefore, the hair above the shaved donor site drapes over the donor site at the end of the procedure, and no one can even see the donor site! This works really well with women who wear their hair long. Definitely meet with board certified plastic surgeon to find out more!

Answer: HT in woman I usually prefer FUT in woman, because shave a woman's hair in the donor area, even partially, is not the best choice. Apart from this, you can get similar results with both techniques.

Answer: FUT or FUE for Female Hair Transplant For Females both options are available, although the preferred technique is FUT.We have done both FUE and FUT in females.Shaven FUE with trimming of donor site is done in such a way so that donor site doesn't appear trimmed, we sometimes use the trimmed donor site hairs to make a temporary wig to be worn at donor site using glue bond, which can be worn after donor site has healed (around 7 days), till the time hair grows back.Sometimes non-shaven FUE technique can be used , in which we transfer around 1500-1800 grafts in a single sitting & needs 2 sittings on an average for coverageRecipient site doesn't need to be trimmed in females. A good Hair Transplant Centre with skilled doctor & team should be able to do it without trimming the top.

Answer: Female transplant Women usually need more hair than men to get desired results in hair transplantation. Also, longer hair is the style. The strip harvest usually allows for higher numbers of grafts/session and can spare the donor site from being shaved and needing a year or two to recover. Usually the quality of the grafts is better with strip harvesting. Either harvesting process can allow for grafts to be insertrd into non/shaven recipient sites.
