Uneven skin/redness/itchy donor area. Any suggestions? (photos)

Hi, I have had 2 hair transplants via strip method. (2500 grafts) My skin is uneven at the donor area, looks like a bump. It does not appear all along the complete line of scar, few parts of the scar line is normal with rest of my head (as shown in current picture). I was given contractubex gel to be applied. The redness has subside (see current picture) but the skin still feels uneven & bumpy. Do I have to bother? M considering FUE for 3rd time. Did I make mistake by going with strip method?

The donor area scarring from your strip surgery may show up as bumps and redness. If you are considering FUE surgery you must realize that you will have to shave that area exposing the exiting linear scar.

You may have a scar that is spreading. This is a common place to have the scars spread. In fact, in my own procedure i have a similar spread scar.At this point, massage twice a day along scar.  For your next procedure, I would suggest FUE with some graft placement in your scar.

Strip scars have complications called scars, some of them get elevated and even read and bumpy. These are called hypertrophic scars and need the attention of a doctor familiar in treating them with steroid injections if they are truly hypertrophic
