Uneven skin/redness/itchy donor area. Any suggestions? (photos)

Hi, I have had 2 hair transplants via strip method. (2500 grafts) My skin is uneven at the donor area, looks like a bump. It does not appear all along the complete line of scar, few parts of the scar line is normal with rest of my head (as shown in current picture). I was given contractubex gel to be applied. The redness has subside (see current picture) but the skin still feels uneven & bumpy. Do I have to bother? M considering FUE for 3rd time. Did I make mistake by going with strip method?

For women who will never keep their hairs buzz cut short (like men) FUE may NOT be the best option.  FUE involves shaving your scalp for the surgery.  FUT does not require a hair cut or a shave.

Sleeping with a hair concealer should not have any issues with hair loss or hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is a good idea to check with your doctor.

Hi 500c,There should not be any issues with coloring the hair after a hair transplantation. I would certainly wait for at least two weeks before doing it.Good luck!

Fine baby vellus hairs cannot be transplanted. Transplanted hairs are the same texture and character as the donor hair.  What you are describing of harvesting neck hairs do not work.  Even if it does, it will likely leave scars on the nape of your neck.

There should be no issue of growing dreadlocks after a hair transplant since the transplanted hair will grow like your own hair.

You can have a hair transplant surgery even if you already had scalp micropigmentation. See a doctor for an exam to make sure you are a candidate for surgery.
