Been thinking of getting a BA for like a decade. Want to use this platform as a way to document my journey through posts and pictures. I am 28 and have a lean athletic build. Never developed the side breasts I considered "womanly" which was disappointing in my teen and younger twenties. I've been wanting to get a breast enhancement for as long as I can remember by never pulled the trigger for one reason or another. The biggest being I have anxiety and was always scared of being put under and no waking up and the pain that comes along with recovery. Im getting married in May and want to feel feminine and womanly in my wedding dress and to be able to finally fill out a swimsuit for my honeymoon so the time is now!! Not looking for dramatic results, just want more fullness and to look natural. I'm guessing I'm a 32 AA and want to be a small C cup. Thinking around the 250 cc gummy bear implant range, under the muscle. Still debating on profile and shape. Probably moderate and I like the idea of teardrop but we shall see. Here are some specs on myself Age: 28, will be 29 in Feb. Height: 5'8' Weight: 130 lbs Updated on 26 Oct 2022: Throwing up some before pics before my consultation today Updated on 27 Oct 2022: Met w Dr. Powell yesterday! After my examination he suggested SRF ( smooth, round, full profile) cohesive silicone implants, under the muscle, through the areola. I mentioned I was thinking moderate profile but he explained that since I have a narrow frame the moderate profile is a wider diameter and won’t give me the optimal results. I tried on 265 cc (which I liked!) 300 cc (didn’t mind but they only had 1 sized so no pics) 340 cc (waaaaay to big) Excited to move forward and schedule my procedure and pre op so we can really hammer down which size to go with. Updated on 7 Nov 2022: Less than a month until surgery! I I am freaking out!! Excited and nervous. Very nervous. I’ve never been put under anesthesia and am a wuss when it comes to pain so recovery is daunting. I’m ready to get it over with but wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving. I’ve been reading so many RealSelf journeys, my fiancé is like “plz don’t show me another set of freshly augmented boobs” (he thinks they looks crazy, which they do lol) I swear I’ve seen a thousand boobs at this point. I was so anxious for my size appt today bc I had to sign off on what I wanted and I didn’t know…. Was I willing to go less on the CC to stay moderate or just accept the extra 0.6 cm and go high profile?? I’ve been analyzing the charts obsessively the past few weeks, comparing reviews with myself and the size and profiles others have gotten and what it may look like on me. It’s all consuming. I don’t want to have boob greed and wish I had gone bigger but I also don’t want them to be huge and hate them (not that I would hate if they were bigger lol just looking for a natural C cup and don’t want DD) So I was between the Natrelle smooth round 265 or 295 SRF (Natrelle has 3 types of gummy bear implants, responsive/ Inspra, soft touch, and cohesive.I’ve attached a pic that explains better than I can type) everyone always says to go up a size so I’m going 295! I’m also happy that I have the “least” cohesive since I don’t want a ton of upper pole fullness, this protein type should help them fall and look more natural. Fingers crossed. Going under the muscle through the areola. Have my pre op appt Wednesday. I live in a rural part of my state and the doc comes twice a month for consultations and does surgeries in the city. 2 hour drive. One of the ladies here made an amazing list of questions to ask, will add her name in the comments. Will report back soon!! Updated on 7 Nov 2022:
I HAVE OFFICIALLY JOIN THE TIG O' BITTY COMMITTEE!!!!!! First off, I have to admit 100% NO REGRETS!!!!!LOVE MY BOOBIES!!ok i had to get that off my chest haha ;D. I just turned the big ''30'' on January 22nd,huge leap lots to embrace but loving life. I am also a lucky momma of three beautiful boys (all breastfed) divorced and going through a new chapter of transformation and honestly just being loving to myself while keep a balance with all that life has to offer. Before April, only the though off possibly one day getting a boobie job was way out of reach, since as mothers that we are we put our kids and family first, i honestly thought it was a selfish desire but boy was i WRONG lol. I was always small but when i got pregnant and breastfed whatever was there no longer stood a chance. Although my girls (boobies;)) fulfilled a beautiful purpose, they were neglected for a very long time, hardly ever exposed and always in training(sports bras)lol. Humor me ;) With the support of my wonderful amazing sexy love of my life,i was ready to embrace new love for myself,my life and my future and with that said and no hesitation...I made my appointment set a date and committed. Dr. Powell was very welcoming and made me feel completely comfortable with what i had in mind..I said Doc i'm going big or i'm going home lol. I absolutely new i wanted big, i have to time to waste,i know what i want and i'm completely comfortable with that.Since i was starting at 32A i had a limit,my skin can only stretch so far, we agreed that a good beautiful solid D 550cc would be perfect!!! Surgery was on April 15,2016. Procedure lasted 4hrs...everything went great!!Then pain for recovery was a little rough on me but only really lasted two day, still taking it easy resting and enjoying the twins (boobies) Updated on 19 Apr 2016: well every day is a little different but still on the road to full recovery. my breast got very swollen and tender last night, kept on top of my meds.currently taking Percocet excellent for pain hate the bloating..ugh.Seems like they may be dropping and one looks like it got beat with the ugly stick lol.cant see much of a difference but ill post up some picks and update in about a week!!
I'm 26 and 4'10. I always struggled with love handles and that little lower belly pooch no matter what weight I was. Being so short i felt it showed and it always made me feel self conscious. It's gone!!! I had my lipo done July 9th. So I'm still quite fresh. This is my first ever cosmetic procedure. I feel wonderful about my size and shape now. The cons so far are definitely the healing process. I'll come back to update again once it's finished! I'm almost at the 6th day mark and my incisions are SO sore, but I think they're healing well? It's very jarring to look at! The draining stopped around the 3rd day. All my incisions have scabbed over except 3 that are still open. I live in my compression garment. My Dr. also suggested getting a foam pad to flatten out the frontal region of the tummy around the belly button. I do get wild migraines even though I stay on my med schedule. Very occasional nausea at first but no throwing up. I finished anti biotics today. I would say overall at the moment my largest con is that I have read and heard that on 5th/6th day your pain is much lower and mobility I way higher than it actually is. Getting up is painful, sleeping is painful (and annoying because I do not sleep on my back still and unmoving like a hunk of wood) it's generally not as *easy* as it's been made to seem by almost everyone! My lovely boyfriend pours soapy water over me with a cup and then clean water to rinse. I scrub my important bits and my shower lasts about 3 minutes total then he dresses me in my compression garment. I prefer the one that's built like a crotch less body suit that sits above the knees. I do move around a little bit around the house because standing isn't a big issue, it's usually just the sitting up or sitting down. Hoping that within a few days the discomfort dissipates a bit more so I can move on to caring for the scars. My bruising is deep but not too bad and quite minimal compared to som I've seen! Any extra info and tips from more experienced people are very appreciated!
Id like a full C small D. I already had consult they said do not go lower than a 350cc but i could go up to a 400cc if i wanted to. My boobs r empty she said something bout negative 8. Not sure what that means. But will see the doc himself for my pre op in a week.is it true the sizers look bigger over ur breast than when the implant is actually inside ur breast. I want to look natural but still want fullness on my upper part of my breast. Also do ur breast look fuller with round implants compared to teardrop. i was told by two different doc i need silicone HP cuz im so small. Other peoples experience would b helpful. I cant change my mind on my size after the 28th when i leave my appt.
After years of wanting my breast augmentation it is finally happening !!!! What really pushed me to get them was after breastfeeding my son . They were left empty and deflated. No volume what so ever . My bras fit big and they were always spilling . Completely annoying and disheartening. Any-who , I when for my first consultation, he was great but I felt like I wasn't given any option so I wanted a second recommendation and Dr , Powell listed to what I wanted and gave me options as well as recommendations which I agreed on . So today ( 01/05/17 ) i get my girls back up and perkey !!!! We are planning on 550cc's . Updated on 6 Jan 2017: My before mom boobies . I was feeling anxious and scared but excited and hungry ! I was so ready to say bye to pancake boobs lol Updated on 6 Jan 2017: Yesterday after surgery, I was in Excruciating pain ! I was expecting pain but with the combination of the other meds , it wasn't so pleasant lol I really don't remember much up until around midnight when I took my pain killers and ever since then , I feel so much better . Staying ahead of the pain is definitely the key ! I get up and walk around the house a bit ( with my arms looking like a t-Rex lol ) and carefully play with my little one . I still can't quite eat but I try to when I take my meds . My chest just feels like I had a hardcore chest workout! I have my post op appointment tomorrow and I will finally get to see them ???? Updated on 7 Jan 2017: Finally got to see my boobs and I LOVE THEM ! Doctor was pleased to see how well I am doing for being less than 48 hours post op . I have no bruising and not to swollen . Pain is bearable, I feel like I had an amazing heavy chest day at the gym , maybe that's why or what is helping me recover better ???? who knows ! I love Dr. Powell's work ! Now I'm just going to start switching off from Percocet to Tylenol, i hate how nauseous and sleepy it makes me and constipation is no fun ???? Updated on 7 Jan 2017: It definitely felt amazing when the ace bandage came off !!! Feels like I can breathe again ! Updated on 11 Jan 2017: I'm very surprised how Mobil I am that I forget that I recently had surgery! It feels like when your breast get engorged and drying out milk lol they have soften up , I love it ! Updated on 18 Jan 2017: Feeling great , still can't sleep on my back . It's very painful when I get up . Other than that I only take Tylenol when needed . Went to get sized ( i know , to soon ) they sized me at 32DDD !!!!!! I don't even feel they're that big lol i love them lol So happy I did it ! I can't wait to pick up my baby and hit the gym again . I feel so puffy . I have gotten the ok to do cardio and leg work outs but I'm missing the heavy lifting . Well a bit at a time . Updated on 26 Jan 2017: Week 3 , incisions are healing nicely. Stitches haven't completely fallen off yet but 2 are poking out but hopefully they're off by my follow up next week if not I'll ask to cut them off . I'm afraid they'll get caught and cause damage . Still feels odd leaning forward but it's slowly getting better . No pain what so ever . Really looking forward to get back into running and lifting. Hope to get the green light soon ! Updated on 2 Feb 2017: So yesterday I had my 4 Week follow up and last since I'm moving to Hawaii . My PS is pleased to see how quickly I've recovered and my results . He even gave me the green light to begin running and lifting again ! ! Of course, with caution. I'll be listing to his advice and continue to wear good support bras ( double bras for workouts ) to maintain my boobs looking fabulous! Love my PS ! Definitely the best ! Updated on 23 Feb 2017: Still feeling great, recently I've been getting these pains that last very little but nothing alarming . So happy with my procedure , looking back to my before pictures I can't believe I waited! Funny but I can almost not remember to have deflated boobs !!!! I do wish I went a bit bigger , 575 cc's maybe ? Lol it's the greed . I love them ! Just having a hard time finding a bra that fits well . I got sized at Victoria's Secret and she told me I'm a 32DDD but I still have some spillage and a 34DD or DDD don't fit well . If any of you ladies know of a brand/store or site , please let me know ! :) Updated on 14 Mar 2017: Well moving to Hawaii was a challenge. Lifting my 1 yr old son , pulling luggage etc . Scared the poop out of me . But it's been 3 weeks since the move and I'm now back to running daily and slowly adding upper body weight lifting and was feeling good until I decided to deadlift . Around the same days I had also been painting my living room walls and what not when I began to feel that shooting pain of day 1-4 post op I had . Followed by soreness. Called my ps and told me to lay off over using my right arm ( that's the side with the pain ) . It's been 2 days now and I feel back to normal , i just know now just because i feel ok and can do ALMOST everything doesn't mean I am fully capable just yet . So back to taking it easy . I can't afford to fly out to California to see my ps or look for a good one here on the island . Love my boobies ! Oh and size has increased, I was a 32 DDD from Victoria's Secret and now I've move to 32 F . Looks like I will no longer be buying VS lol oh and my incision is healing beautifully . Applying bio oil daily to help reduce scaring , looks like it working ! Updated on 20 Apr 2017: Love them . Not much to update other than I did notice the morning boob and after my runs , my right boob seems to be a tad higher than my left but then settles back to normal . Maybe I need a tighter or higher sports bra ? I double them up to keep them from moving . Any suggestions ? Updated on 26 Oct 2017: It’s been a while since I’ve updated! It’s still the best thing I’ve done for myself. I feel more confident and comfortable with myself. Feels great to have full breast and actually fill in my bra lol I’m back 100% to running and lifting , wearing a good supportive sports bra, maybe 2 . At times I don’t feel like they’re big enough or look big . I wouldn’t mind going a bit bigger . It is difficult to find bras my size in stores that are actually cute & sexy . I’m a 32 F or G depending on the brand . So far I’ve found 2 websites that carry nice bras at a reasonable price .
I came in for a consultation on hair line restoration and I was very impressed with Todd who answered all my questions and showed me my options. Very clean facility and nice location by the beach. I'm saving up and will be back in touch as soon as I can! Dr Powell's hairline work is very impressive...I want a natural look and I was shown his work. It's virtually undetectable so he's the doctor for me!
It is highly unlikely the Botox injections caused the death of your friend. First, the amount of Botox injected for cosmetic purposes is very small and little gets into the blood stream. In the event it were an allergic reaction to the Botox protein, she would have reacted to the injection much sooner than the next day. Allergic reactions to Botox are very unusual and uncommon. Actually, athletes with muscle spasms get Botox injections for muscle spasms (particularly soccer players) so they can continue to play their sport. Suffocation most likely was caused by some sort of muscle spasm occluding her airway rather than relaxation of muscles. This is a very unfortunate incident; however, I cannot think of a mechanism by which Botox would have caused your friend's death.
It is unlikely that Botox caused the two horizontal wrinkles over your eye. Botox is used to relax muscles and get rid of wrinkles caused by contraction of the muscles; The two wrinkles over your eye are caused by the muscles of the forehead. Botox injected to treat "goal post" wrinkles between your eyes has no effect on horizontal wrinkles on outside forehead over the eye.
Twitching of an eye is not something that happens from Botox injections. If anything, Botox should prevent twitching of a muscle. I suppose there might be an injury to a nerve from the needle; however that is grasping at straws. I think it would be highly unlikely that the Botox itself was responsible for the twitching eye. I would give Botx at least one more try and see if it happens again.
There are neurotransmitter receptors on the muscles. Your nerves release the neurotransmitter which attaches to the receptors and tells the muscle to contract. Botox is very similar in structure to your neurotransmitter so that it can attach to the receptors and block your neurotransmitter from attaching to the receptors. The bigger and stronger your muscles, the more receptors and therefore it takes more Botox to give you three months effect from Botox. There is not right or wrong amount of Botox; however, to get a good result you have to get enough Botox units to block the majority of the receptors on your muscles. Too little Botox and you may have some motion a the 7 day point when you get full effect and the Botox will wear off sooner than 3 month maximum effect. 20 units of Botox is my starting dose of Botox for females with not too strong or large forehead muscles. I usually start gals with 24 units for the glabella and crows feet (eyes). I tailor the amount of Botox to every individual based on how strong and large the muscles are in the area they want treated and the effect they want to achieve.
The two areas it appears from the picture that you need to transplant hair are the hairline and the frontal tuft. There are two methods of doing hair transplants. FUT uses a strip of scalp from the back of the head and upper neck which the hair techs cut into follicles and the surgeon makes incision site to create the hairline and increase density of the frontal tuft. The second method is FUE where the hair on the back of the head and upper neck is shaved and the follicles are punched out and then transplanted to create the hairline and fill in the frontal tuft. The FUT method leaves a linear scar on back of the head that is covered up by the hair and the FUE method leaves tiny, round scars (punch diameter) all over the back of the head with the hair growing back but with half of less density. FUT provides more hair as a general rule for each transplant procedure in less time in surgery. Both methods grow hair. It is not uncommon to need 2-3 transplant procedure to achieve the density you desire. As a general rule it takes 1500 - 1800 grafts to create a new hairline and another 1000 - 1500 to fill in/create a frontal tuft. In my opinion, the hairline and the frontal tuft are the most important areas to transplant since you look at these areas every day.
