Is this the best way to achieve maximum density? Is there any downsides for doing this?
Answer: Forehead reduction Male patients are not good candidates for a forehead reduction surgery. With normal hair loss and hair line recession over time, the scar may become visible. A hair transplant is much safer for male patients, and a lower hairline can be created with hair grafts. I would recommend speaking with a hair restoration expert to discuss your options and answer any questions you might have. All the best,

Answer: Forehead Reduction In my opinion, it is safer and more effective to do a hair transplant surgery to correct the hairline over a forehead reduction procedure. Because this is a hairline receding issue and not a forehead issue, I think a hair transplant would be the best route. Of course, you should meet with an experienced hair restoration surgeon to best determine your candidacy. We have had great success in resolving receding hairlines with hair transplantation. The transplanted hair is permanent, and you wouldn’t have to worry about hair loss in that area again. If you decide to explore the forehead reduction route, please be extremely cautious, as complications with this procedure are common. There are issues with scarring and nerve damage that cannot be reversed. Also, forehead reductions do not solve hair loss concerns, and as you age, your hair loss will likely progress, receding even further.

Answer: Hairline Lowering, Forehead Reduction and then Hair Transplants if Hair Loss Progresses There is no simple answer to your question about forehead reduction vs hair replacement surgery at this time. There are many options depending on your age, if you've had any hair loss, your family history of baldness before determining if transplants, a Fleming/Mayer flap, or a forehead reduction is the best approach for you at this time. Consult with a surgeon who uses these techniques.
