There are small risks of fillers in the forehead area causing blindness. With implants are the only risks involved infections? And is the shape of the implant selective to each patient or are they standard sizes. And can the implants extend on to the brow bone and the temporal area near the hairline? Thank you.
Answer: May not need implants Hello,Often we'll directly shape the bone of the forehead so that you have the shape you want without needing any implants. I do that about 3-4 times per week for people and we get excellent results.Without a photo it's hard to know what you need, but that is an option.Jeff Spiegel

Answer: Forehead implants I would only recommend these types of implants in cases where you have a significant deformity, such as one cause by a severe injury. Otherwise, stay away from them.

Answer: Forehead augmentation Forehead augmentation can be accomplished with implants as you suggest, and they can be custom made from 3D CAD models off of a facial CT scan. Risks include infection, numbness or other nerve damage, bleeding, bruising, scarring, etc. The incision to place larger implants is usually ear to ear across the top of the head. Alternatively, you can use bone filler that either comes in a paste or putty. This can be placed with the same type of incision or sometimes depending on the area and volume, can be placed through small endoscopic incisions back behind the hair line. Any filler in the face around the eyes caries a very low risk of blindness, but this can be mitigated (no studies to back this up yet) by use of blunt tip cannulas. If the tip is blunt, the chance of injecting filler into a blood vessel that then back flows to the ophthalmic artery is reduced. You have quite a few choices and the approach should be tailored to your facial structure and desired improvements. See someone who has experience with the various techniques and only move forward when you find someone you are comfortable with. All the best!

Answer: Forehead implants Although they are relatively low, the main risks for placement of forehead implants are infection and damage to surrounding nerves. I have had great experience with the use of fat injections which minimizes any scarring, and provide a permanent result as compared to fillers such as HA. please view facelift with fat grafting photos and get a more comprehensive understanding of what could be achieved with fat transfer.
