Hello letterpadSwelling should subside within 1-2 weeks and tightness should diminish within a few months. Mild discomfort may occur but should not hinder day-to-day tasks. The lip will be a little higher than when it settle into position. The sutures dissolve but are hard to see even immediately after surgery. Incision treatments with laser, microneedling, and topical creams are available as you heal to provide the best result possible
Thank you for the question. Most commonly, the swelling and bruising here is most noticable in the first few days and generally is subsiding by 1 week. Most patients can wear concealer to hide bruises by one week. The scar itself will take a total of 9 months to mature. This does not mean that it will be noticable for this length of time. In the first few weeks it will be red and raised. This can persist upto 3 months. You will needto use a high spf cream over the scars. The majority of my patients do not have much swelling over the course of the recovery period.I hope this is helpful for you.Best wishes
