It points downward and it makes my face sometimes looks awkward and birdish. I’ve tried juvederm but all it has done was add volume, it didn’t lift my upper lip/Cupid’s bow. I want a top lip so make my face more symmetrical. Will a Lip Lift Help me?
Answer: Lip lift Hello rmitchellLip lifts are minor surgical procedures that actually shorten the distance between the nose and upper lip and allow more of your central upper teeth to show both at rest and when you smile. This has sometimes been called the Bullhorn procedure because of the shape. The incision at the base of the nose, just within the nostrils, tucks the muscle and shortens the skin providing a youthful upper lip in less than an hour under local anaesthetic

Answer: Lip lift Thanks for your question. Strategically placed filler, containing hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Volbella, can create fuller volume in the lips. Indeed, it can even suddenly change the shape of the lip as well. However, if you have significant lip shape issues, such as a long upper lip or drooping corners, then you could opt additionally for other procedures, such as an upper and/or corner lip lift. Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in lip augmentation

Answer: Lip lift and corner lift Thank you for your question. There are a number of options you have available. These are procedures my colleague, Rohit Seth and I do quite regularly at our clinic. Our overall management for these are as follows: With respect to filler - this can help to change the lip shape if it is contoured properly and not just placed in the lip to add volume (which it seems like what has been done for you). If more filler is placed centrally, then this will give the effect that you described. Placing the filler on the sides of the ips and the margins can effectively reshape and contour the lip to reduce the downturned effect. Surgically, the shape can be altered using the lip lift procedure but for your lip shape I would consider a valentine lip lift plus maybe a lip lift centrally. -If you are happy with your overall lip volume and only concerned with the downturned effect then a valentine lip lift will be very effective. This reduces the downturned mouth appearance - but does not address the cupids bow. -If you would like to address the cupids bow as well as the corners then you need a lip lift (bullhorn - scar is underneath the nose lip margin so is not noticable) and a valentine lip lift. -If you were to have the lip lift alone (bullhorn or seagull incisions), then the risk is it will make the downturned corners more apparent. This is why for your lip shape both the bullhorn and valentine lft would be required.I hope this helps Best wishes
