I would love a lip lift as I have a very long Philtrum, but also have a gummy smile that looks even worse when taking photos as looks wonky too :( Would love a shorter philtrum as a long one can make me look unhappy and sort of angry. Would a lip lift and dentist surgery work ?

You are correct.  A lip lift will only improve the soft tissue issues that you are looking at.  It would vastly help with the proportions of your lower third - but in your case may lead to excessive chin strain, etc just to try and keep the lips closed at repose! Therefore, making sure that you see a cosmetic orthodontist would be helpful as well.  Granted this is only from a picture - you really do need to see someone in person ideally who can give you a fair assessment.  Best of luck!

Thanks for the question, The short answer is yes, this procedure is possible and improves the shape of the lip in right patients. although sometime it need to be done in combination of other procedures like laser or fat grafting for better results.
