I'm really skinny person, underweight. I have this bump I have on my stomach (always had, and all girls in my family has it too, no matter how skinny we can be) and I want to get rid of it. It's like the skin on my lower tummy is thicker. Very suttle. I saw on website that the doctor needs to see if there is enough skin to pinch in order to do it.. What's the minimum? And based on these pictures, do you think coolsculpting would help my belly button area to be more thin?

Answer: CoolSculpting Hello,Thank you for your question. CoolSculpting is ideal for individuals who are at a healthy weight. Based on the pictures you may be able to treat the abdomen. However you would need to have a consult in person to make sure the applicator will fit the area of concern. Good luck!

Answer: Pinchable fat is treatable Hi, Regardless of how thin you are, if you have pinchable, pullable fat, you can treat it with CoolSculpting. A better picture for assessment would be to lean over and grab your fat. Pull it away from your abdomen and take the picture. This will provide us with a better view of what we might be able to treat. An alternative to consider is using kybella in this area. Kybella is an injectable solution of deoxycholic acid that can dissolve fat. It's currently only FDA approved for the treatment of submental fat (fat under the chin). However, it can be used in other areas off-label. You should speak with a trained physician about this option. Hope this helps, Dr. Garry K. Kim
