Should I get chin implant to bring out the area between my lips and chin that dips in a little too far? (photos)

Hello, thank you for your question and photos. A chin implant would not help with the depression between you chin and lip.

You have a perfect chin! The depression half way between the chin and lips is called the "Mento-Labial sulcus" Directly behind the sulcus are the roots of your lower teeth. Because of this it's not possible to secure implants into this area. Chin implants are placed at the lower edge of the chin along the jaw bone. If you were to place a chin implant this would bring the chin more forward and make the sulcus look even deeper. Be carefull trying to fill the very small dimple as it might project your chin more than you like.As I mentioned at the top. Your chin projects beautifully and is why you have such a nice horizontal neck line I wouldn't mess with a good thingGood luck!

Thanks for the question and the photo. Chin implants are especially used for patients with lower jaw patients (Micrognathia). In this respect, it is not suitable to use implants for chin dimple, as far as I can see from your photos, the depth between and disturbs you. This natural anatomical structure, which we call labiomental groove, is a part of natural facial structure. When I evaluate your photos, this groove looks naturally aesthetically pleasing. In your other question, you wrote that you do not want dermal filler, so the only alternative we can have is fat transfers. You also have a slight symmetry problem and a chin tip dimple, this problem can be permanently corrected by fat tissue.
Before making any decision about the transactions I have mentioned above, I recommend you to do a detailed research on the advantages and disadvantages and possible complications of foreign materials such as implants or filler to the chin.

Chin implants will not work for treating the deeper labiomental fold or chin dimples. These are treated by fat grafting not implants as both are soft tissue defects and have nothing to do with the underlying bone.

  The depression between her lips and chin is not treated with a chin implant.  Chin implants are only placed for patients who have a recessive mandible and chin profile.
