Is it possible to lose your butt volume after tummy tuck ? I know this question may sound dumb but I'm truly concerned. I'm 5'2 and before surgery I weighed 140. I had a nice butt that was given to me after the birth or my daughter. Some how that has suddenly vanished. I haven't lost much weight . Jeans and clothes still fit the same. I do feel tense in my butt area and I'm still walking slightly hunched over (16 days post op today) . Is this at all possible ?

Answer: Butt volume loss after TT and BA? Dear Espy5338If you are in the early recovery phase and still walking hunched over, you can truly assess your buttocks shape. Be patient and I suspect you will find that not much has changed. It is not uncommon to get a little muscle atrophy in the early postop period as your activity range is limited. as you begin to return to your baseline, you muscle mass will return as well. Be patient. Congrats on having your surgery!!

Answer: Butt volume loss after TT and BA? Thanks for your question. If your weight hasn't changed and your clothes still fit the same, most likely the appearance of a flatter behind is due to your current posture. Once you have recovered fully and are able to stand more upright, I think you'll see the size of your bottom most likely hasn't changed. It's also possible that in contrast to your new, larger breasts your bottom just looks smaller. I hope this helps.
