After telling my nurse my concerns about the deep dent in my back, she simple said it was a result of swelling and it would go down. However the line hasn't reduced! Is there a specific reason why this dent is there? What could my surgeon have done wrong? What procedure can I do to correct this!
Answer: Contour irregularities after liposuction. From the photograph provided it's impossible to comment specifically. If there is redundant skin that is gathering up along the crease the only treatment would be surgical excision. Physical examination would be required to establish the diagnosis.

Answer: Contour irregularity following liposuction Thank you for your question and photograph. I think what you are experiencing has to do with some underlying connective tissue bands that were likely there all along. After some fat was removed with the liposuction, It may be that now these bands are becoming more apparent. There may be some options to help manage this. I would really encourage you to go back and meet with her surgeon, as he/she

Answer: Liposuction Dent in Back After Liposuction I have to see before and after photos to really know what this may be from. Some people have loose skin that often does this "indentation" or "fold" after the fat is removed if VASER or another energy device like ThermiRF or laser isn't used. Also, sometimes the skin really needs to be removed at the same time. I suggest posting clear before and after photos and speaking to your board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who performed the procedure if you are concerned. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Lipo Dent It is very likely due to the liposuction cannula grazing or poking the underneath part of the skin called the dermis causing fibrosis and uneven retraction of the skin. It happens to also be occurring at a naturally fibrotic area at the bottom of where the back settles making it worse. Well done revision liposuction to release the scar wth fat transfer and possible blending liposuction above and below should improve it.

Answer: Deep line after liposuction You are still only 5 months out from your procedure, so you're not fully "done" healing yet. Also, you have a lot of loose skin on your waist and lower back. The skin is likely the real problem here.
