Why Isn't my beard transplant growing? How long does it take? Its been 2month and 2weeks from now.

Its been 2month and 2 weeks from my surgery of beard transplant . Some of the hair fall out but I havn't seen any good results yet. How long would it take so I can see the whole results? Thank you.

It generally takes 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery. It is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor if you have concerns.

Thank you for your question. Many factors are an issue here.  The quality of grafting, the number of grafts, the quality of grafts, and your healing capacity.  Allow yourself 6-12 months, and then you will be able to see the hair in and out of several cycles, and determine what you have to work with. I hope this helps!

It will take several months for the hair to start growing to a point where they are visible.  2 months and 2 weeks is too early to worry.  By 6 months at least half should be visible but it make take up to a year for all of them to grow.

To see results from any type of transplant, be it hair, beard, mustache, or eyebrows it will take a minimum of six months. The full spectrum of the results becomes definite towards the end of one year.
There are many factors that affect the outcomes of a beard transplant. The results depend on the number of grafts transplanted, the quality of grafts, the healing capacity of the patient, and their underlying co-morbidities. However, a lesser-known fact is that the after-care given by the surgeon to the patient has an equal influence on the results as well. Therefore, the outcome of the surgery would be more beneficial if all the precautions and after-care steps provided by the surgeon are religiously followed by the patient.

Beard hair transplanted hair usually does not grow before 2-3 months from the transplant procedure like most other types of hair transplants. Despite of initiation of growth in 2-3 months, it still takes a few months until hair is long enough so the patient can see full coverage. Any type of hair transplant whether to the scalp or to the face, such as a beard transplant, takes at least 90 days to even start to grow. When hair is transplanted from one area to another the hair follicle must get a blood supply before it starts to grow a new hair.  The existing hair in the follicle typically falls out and the new hair starts to grow. This process takes three months to even start. The full result can take up to one year before all the hairs are actually growing. Be patient, you have a few more weeks to go before your beard should start growing in.
