Why Isn't my beard transplant growing? How long does it take? Its been 2month and 2weeks from now.

To see results from any type of transplant, be it hair, beard, mustache, or eyebrows it will take a minimum of six months. The full spectrum of the results becomes definite towards the end of one year.
There are many factors that affect the outcomes of a beard transplant. The results depend on the number of grafts transplanted, the quality of grafts, the healing capacity of the patient, and their underlying co-morbidities. However, a lesser-known fact is that the after-care given by the surgeon to the patient has an equal influence on the results as well. Therefore, the outcome of the surgery would be more beneficial if all the precautions and after-care steps provided by the surgeon are religiously followed by the patient.

Beard hair transplanted hair usually does not grow before 2-3 months from the transplant procedure like most other types of hair transplants. Despite of initiation of growth in 2-3 months, it still takes a few months until hair is long enough so the patient can see full coverage. We usually schedule our patients for 6 months post op visit since this is the time that they have long enough hair that could be seen and styled.
