I have been taking zoloft for a little over a year now and have been thoroughly researching the lipo sculpting/bbl procedures... but I'm wondering would I need to have my system cleared of this medication before I was allowed to schedule? What is the procedure for this?
Answer: Anti Depressants and Surgery You will need to be careful about the medications you take for pain after your surgery, as combining different types of medications can have a serious impact on your day-to-day life. Be sure to be honest with your surgeon about all of the current medications you are taking so he or she can monitor you carefully and ensure that there are no additional risk of complications.

Answer: Medical History: Information Dear PoisonX,Thank you for your story. It's always best to ask your Plastic Surgeon these questions yourself. Unfortunately without access to your total past medical history I can advise you in general terms, however I hope you will find them helpful.1) consult with the Doctor who is prescribing your Zoloft2) inform your chosen Plastic SurgeonZoloft is a commonly prescribed medication that I am unaware of any effect on a surgical procedure.I trust that you have chosen a Plastic Surgeons who is experienced and Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition ideally they are members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).I wish you my best and success,R.
