I appreciateyour question.Cost variesby geographic location, surgeon expertise, OR time, anesthesia, length ofprocedure etc. I would recommend that you go to The American Society ofPlastic Surgery website and look for a list of board certified plastic surgeonsin your area. You can call their offices in advance and ask for quotesprior to scheduling consultations. The best wayto assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see aboard-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorativeplastic surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
The costs of BBL varies based on location of the practice, the physician, the patient's anatomy, and the number of areas that are needed for liposuction in order to harvest the fat to be injected into the buttocks. I'm not sure what part of California you are in, but the cost in the LA area usually start around $8,000 and depends on the patient and the number of areas need for liposuction to harvest the fat for transfer to the buttocks. I wouldn't choose a surgeon on cost alone, but look at their results and choose one you feel comfortable with. Additionally, most plastic surgery practices offer payment plans through financing companies such as Care Credit and Alpheon. I recommend consulting several surgeons to help find the one that is right for you. Good luck!Kamran Azad MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Cost factors vary significantly for a number of good reasons: Prices vary greatly because the surgery itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. My recommendation is to first find the most qualified surgeons where you want the surgery performed that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery you trust, then compare prices between them. See the below link on suggestions on how to find the most qualified plastic surgeon for your procedure. General Factors that influence the price of plastic surgery include: 1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctor’s office? Geographical location also has a significant influence. RealSelf has average charges for most areas of the USA. 2. Type of Anesthesia - local, IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, or an RN be used? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best and longest trained is most often a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - how difficult will your surgery be and how long it will take, etc. Will other complementary procedures also be also performed during the same surgery?
In our area, the cost for a BBL by a board certified plastic surgeon can range from $7000 to $9000 depending on how many areas need to be liposuctioned. This includes all fees except pain medicationd and antibiotics. Also this includes one garment and if you need more, they are $150. The preop blood work is also not included and it is about $50. If you need a medical clearance, those costs may be more if you dont have health insurance.
People from all over the world come to Miami for this particular procedure. The prices range form 5000-11000 depending on whether you go to a clinic or a private physicians office. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon as many of us do consultations over the phone. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Cost varies from surgeon to surgeon and depends on OR time, facility fees, anesthesia, number of areas for liposuction......Seek a board certified plastic surgeon who performs many of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.
BBL cost is determined by amount of fat that is going to be transferred to the buttocks. The fees can range from 6900 to 10000 depending on amount of transferred fat. Please see example below.
Cosmetic surgery costs are generally broken down into the surgeons fee, facility fee and anesthesiologist fee.All postoperative visits should be included and not be charged for. It's important to discuss what the surgeon's policy is for revision work. Most plastic surgeons do not charge for revisions though some will charge the patient for a facility or anesthesia fee if revisions are needed.Play practice is focused exclusively on body contouring using various forms of liposuction and fat transfer. We do not use General Anastasia though we have that available should someone choose to be put to sleep. There are many advantages to avoiding general anesthesia for this procedure.Cost is one of them but not the primary reason to avoid using General Anastasia. When liposuction or liposuction with fat transfer is done using a local Anastasia and mild sedation it can be done in an office-based setting.Avoiding a formal operating room such as a hospital or surgery center significantly decreases the cost.An operating room with an anesthesiologis may cost at least $1000 per hour or more.this could amount to $2500 to $4000 depending on how much work is done. Some surgeons on their own operating rooms and have the ability to lower costs because of it.In our practice the facility fee is only a few hundred dollars keeping the cost down substantially. While price is no guarantee of quality work the most talented plastic surgeons rarely give substantial discounts. As one of my professors used to say "don't look for bargains when shopping for parachutes or cosmetic surgery".because there are quite a few variables the prices will vary as well.Total cost could be between $5000-$12,000.There are rogue operations charging as little as $3500 an high-end clinics charging well over $15,000.The average price seems to be around $6500.in our practice we typically set the price based on the number of areas treated with liposuction and have an ad on fee for fat transfer such as a Brazilian. In other words someone who has six areas of liposuction in conjunction with the Brazilian will pay a little bit more than someone who has four areas treated with liposuction for the same Brazilian.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Dear Ms. Beth0181,Thank you for your questions.Total costs are based on several components:A)what part of the country you have your surgery (coastal cities are generally higher than inland cities)B)surgeons fees (more experienced surgeons are higher than less experienced)C)anesthesia fees (nurse anesthetist vs Bd. Cert. Anesthesiologist) D)facility fees (operations done in a hospital setting are usually higher in total cost)E) special equipment needed or supplies (implants, etc) Please search RealSelf & Am. Society of Plastic Surgery web sites for the sections on the average costs and fees. Most Plastic Surgeons have financing options avavailable.I feel compelled to state that while total cost should always be taken into considerationit is your body and we usually "get what we pay for".I recommend that you make several consultative appointments with Plastic Surgeons who are experienced and Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition ideally they are members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).I wish you my best and success,R. You are entitled to your privacy, so you need not worry about your surgeon describing anything more than "surgery" and any restrictions applicable to your job requirements. However, if you are asking for paid "sick leave" or paid benefits, your company may have the right to inquire about...
I usually let patients sit at 2-3 weeks but ask them not to put too much pressure on one spot for any prolonged length of time. Full sitting without restrictions is probably best after 6 weeks.
Unfortunately fat can only be transferred to ones own body, also known as auto transplantation. Foreign fat would cause rejection and other immunologic responses.
