I know the first thing you might say is speak to your PS, or that I should have received post op care instructions. But no, my Dr. doesn't provide post op care instructions (To my knowledge, I've asked for them several times, many ways). His nurses said I can sit at 4 weeks without a pillow, he verbally said 6 weeks. No reference was made to what kind of sitting. I want to know from other doctors, who perform BBL's often, what week do YOU think sitting without restrictions is well tolerated?
Answer: Answer varies There is no consensus or right answer. I allow my patients to sit after 4 weeks. Unfortunately it is surgeon dependent and based on each ones experiences

CONTACT NOW Answer: Sitting after a BBL In my practice I ask patients to refrain from sitting for the first 2 weeks after BBL surgery. After that it is OK to start sitting for short periods of time--30 minutes max and try to shift side to side frequently. If the patient has a desk job they can go back at that time but they need a donut pillow when sitting and they need to get up often and stand or walk. This continues for 6 weeks and after that there are no restrictions. I am happy with my results using this post-op sitting regiment. Best of luck.

Answer: BBL and Sitting Following Procedure Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Brazilian Butt Lift! Following the procedure, the patient will need to allow at least 2 weeks for full recovery. Patients should not sit for prolonged periods of time for the first 2 weeks after surgery. Warm Wishes!

Answer: Sitting Restriction Thank you very much for your question. That's highly curious that your surgeon wouldn't provide "after" instructions, considering failure to follow instructions could lead to a worse result for patients.I typically limit sitting for the first 2 weeks. By then, fat shifting with sitting, and fat loss due to pressure, should be minimized. At 4-6 weeks it should be fine.Best of luck!

Answer: BBL and sitting I usually let patients sit at 2-3 weeks but ask them not to put too much pressure on one spot for any prolonged length of time. Full sitting without restrictions is probably best after 6 weeks.
