How soon after eye surgery can you get a rhinoplasty?

Question

I'm getting eye surgery in order to fix congenial ptosis on one eye . I'm also planning on getting a rhinoplasty. Since I'm using two different doctors who don't work in the same building or the same city for that matter, getting them done at the same time isn't an option.

elective surgery by 3 months to allow for maximum
wound healing from any previous surgery.

You should be able to get the rhinoplasty a few weeks after the ptosis repair.  You should ask the surgeon doing the ptosis when it would be okay to have further surgery.

4-6 weeks after uneventful ptosis surgery you should be OK to have rhinoplasty, you should also make both physician aware of your plan and any medications that you might be taking after surgery. good luck!

Both  a rhinoplasty surgery and eyelid surgery can be performed together or separately, depending upon the patient's desires. You should get your eye surgery first and make absolute sure that your eye surgeon states you are completely recovered before pursuing any additional surgery(rhinoplasty). Once you are recovered you should seek consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist where they will determine if you are an appropriate candidate for the surgery. Best of luck.
