Fixing a deformed broken nose. How long do I have to wait? Could it be less than 7 months? Will my nose ever be the same?

With regard to the specifics of your care, you'll need to seek a consultation for individual advice. However, it is not typically necessary to wait 6 months to perform a rhinoplasty to repair a nasal fracture after failed closed reduction. Usually, somewhere between 6 weeks and 3 months is adequate time to heal. I am not sure how much experience your GP has with facial trauma but I would recommend consulting with someone who has alot of nasal reconstruction/ trauma experience for further information.  Yes, it is acceptable to undergo a broken nose repair with rhinoplasty 7 months after the nasal trauma. An asymmetrical dorsal hump will need to be shaved down, and the nose bones re-set with osteotomies. A cast will be applied across the bridge of the nose for one week and anticipate 2 weeks of bruising and swelling after the procedure. It is not uncommon to have asymmetries present after having a reduction of the nasal fracture. It is best to wait 4-6 weeks for the swelling to continue to decrease. At that time if you still are noticing asymmetries that you want to get addressed, it is best to seek consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist so that you can get a thorough evaluation to determine if you would be a good candidate for the surgery. 

Usually it is not necessary to wait 6 months for surgery after a nasal fracture. That will depend on the severity of the trauma and the amount of swelling that is present. I would consult with a rhinoplasty specialist to discuss the timing of an open repair of the injuries.
