With regard to the specifics of your care, you'll need to seek a consultation for individual advice. However, it is not typically necessary to wait 6 months to perform a rhinoplasty to repair a nasal fracture after failed closed reduction. Usually, somewhere between 6 weeks and 3 months is adequate time to heal. I am not sure how much experience your GP has with facial trauma but I would recommend consulting with someone who has alot of nasal reconstruction/ trauma experience for further information.  Yes, it is acceptable to undergo a broken nose repair with rhinoplasty 7 months after the nasal trauma. An asymmetrical dorsal hump will need to be shaved down, and the nose bones re-set with osteotomies. A cast will be applied across the bridge of the nose for one week and anticipate 2 weeks of bruising and swelling after the procedure.
