I can feel these ridges on the outer side of my right breast. Had a lift through areola only with silicone implant exchange. I also can hear a popping sound when I touch them. Is that the implant? Is this normal? Looks like stretch marks which I didn’t have before.
Answer: Breast lift results Dear B4500,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift with implants surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 9 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast lift with implants surgery. Answer: Stretch marks after breast implants with lift Stretch marks are always a risk when placing breast implants. Especially when your skin is loose enough that you need a lift. You may develop some stretch marks in the areas your described as ridges. However, at 9 days postop, these are more likely related to your postoperative swelling and edema. As the swelling and edema subsides, weeks or even months postoperative, the lines you described will likely lessen. The popping noise you described likely is crepitus, which is the medical term for air in the tissues, which is very common postoperatively. This should also improve over time, weeks to possibly months. I hope this eases your mind.

Answer: What are these Thank you for your question, it looks like those are stretch marks that you had. They are more prominent because of the swelling after surgery. They will get better with time.

Answer: Concerns after breast surgery Hi thank you for your question. The lines are consistent with pre-existing stretch marks but it is not always possible to be certain from photos alone. If you are concerned it is always reasonable to visit your surgeon for a check up and reassurance.Best wishes.

Answer: Mysterious skin marks after lift & BAM Hi BThose lines look to me like old stretch marks that are swollen after surgical trauma, and that is common. The popping may be due to the edge of the implant, and would be best evaluated by your doctor. All the best.sek
